Workshop on Industrial Water Management: “Germany, France and Singapore: Together for Green Innovation”
There is urgent need to protect diminishing clean water resources and to upgrade and develop alternative sources through waste-water re-use and polluted water treatment. The innovation forum addresses the topic Industrial Water Management in order to present innovative waste water treatment solutions for possible applications in the fields of pharmacy, microelectronics and food & beverage industries in Singapore.
The innovation forum aims to foster interaction, stimulate discussion and promote cooperation among the global water community. It is designated as a co-located event of the Singapore International Water Week 2009 and comprises a one-day workshop on 22 June, and technical site and networking visits on 23 and 24 June 2009. The organisation of the Innovation Forum Water Technology “Germany, France and Singapore: Together for Green Innovation” is a collective endeavour from various partners. Their common goal is to bring together economy and science in order to generate ideas for collaborative projects addressing the needs of the respective industry.
World leading water experts from Germany, France and Singapore from both scientific domains and industry have been invited to speak and participate at the workshop. The workshop, which is jointly organised, aims to foster international interaction and exchange, as well as to promote multinational R&D co-operation among the global water community. The workshop will be split into two sessions. During the morning sessions, experts will expose their own papers and research, and the afternoon will be comprised of brainstorming sessions, which offer the opportunity to form concrete proposals for collaboration. The sessions aim to match the needs of industry with the expertise of the researchers.
