Water Technology Workshop

Kuala Lumpur - 28 and 29 September 2009
Singapore – 1 and 2 October 2009

The British High Commission in Singapore, Public Utilities Board Singapore, UK Trade and Investment and the Royal Society of Chemistry are pleased to announce their Water Technology Workshops to be held in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore on 28 and 29 September and 30 September and 1 October respectively.

Water is an essential resource. The demand for which is rapidly increasing as the world population grows, but is increasingly being put under greater pressure by industrialisation, urbanisation and climate change. Managing water resources provides an increasing challenge to national governments and the need for strong policies, innovative technologies and international cooperation is vital to the secured supply of water.

The workshops will bring together leading experts from both academic institutions and industry to discuss the latest water technologies and discuss opportunities for collaboration. The workshops will include site visits, presentations and networking sessions.
