Water Futures: Academia and Industry Forum

The UK-Singapore Partners in Science, Nanyang Technological University, UK Trade and Investment and the Royal Society of Chemistry organised a Water Technology Workshop to bring experts from both academia and industry together to discuss the latest water technologies and opportunities for collaboration in Singapore in October 2009. The workshop was opened by HRH Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. The workshop was run back-to-back with a similar event in Kuala Lumpur under the UK-Malaysia Partners in Science Programme.

The workshop provided an overview of UK water technology, industry and regulation as well as discussing some of the latest research. Speakers from academia included Prof David Stuckey, Imperial College, Prof Staffan Kjelleberg, Nanyang Technological University, Prof Simon Judd, Cranfield University, Prof Tony Fane, Nanyang Technological University, Dr Ted Roberts, University of Manchester and Assoc Prof Wang Jing-Yuan, Nanyang Technological University.
